One-man corrals
Simple, low-cost designs and ideas
".... everyone loves working in the yards (corral). So many people have come to look at them". Katherine Curtis, New Zealand.
"Thank you for your great ideas. Many people are impressed". Nathan Tebay, MT, USA.
"He's read it over and over, he's obsessed! Mrs Dave Yelek (fencer), CO, USA.
New Zealand stockmen are known world-wide for their efficiency and inventiveness, yet I knew I could improve on their cattleyard designs.
After TB testing cattle in N.Z for 17 years, having worked in hundreds of cattleyards (corrals), I could see many ways to improve cattle flow, reduce labor, and reduce costs. So I sent 12 cattleyard ideas (for simple gates, chutes, etc) into the N.Z. FARMER magazine. They used to pay $10 for every idea they published. I thought they might use 2 or 3 of the ideas. Well they made my ideas into their feature article (front page) and paid me $150.00 for it! I was amazed.
That was over 20 years ago. My corral designs have since been the subject of more than one hundred magazine articles in 5 countries - mostly the U.S and Canada - and are still proving as popular today as they were 20 years ago.
The "One man corrals" page tells the rest of the story.
